The world’s third Water Resort of Atlantis, with a hotel, water park, aquarium, movie theatre, food courts, and 7 stand-alone restaurants, was unveiled in Hai Tang Bay of Sanya in early May 2017. Due to the remoteness and the extreme challenge of logistics in outsourcing the laundry cleaning, a dedicated central laundry was custom-designed and built to cope with a daily soiled loading of 32T/day.
We picked up this turnkey project straight after the completion of a central laundry for Chime Long, Zhuhai. We had to conquer the limited headroom in some accesses leading into the laundry when moving in the tunnel dryer of 4.5m high by in situ post assembly. Mild steel plates were placed under the press of 12T to spread off the concentrated load evenly onto the floor during positioning.
After all the biggest takeaway from doing this project is we now have our name known from earth (Disneyland, Shanghai) to ocean (Atlantis Water Resort, Sanya).
